Okay so i have this problem were i have this built and i mostly have problems running some games. I mean its supose to do the job on some games like Metal Gear Solid 5, Rocket League, CS:GO and Dying Light. I recently bought and ordered a new PSU cause the one i had was faulty. I keep having frame drops and i dont know why, please help.
GPU: MSI 7950 TwinFroz 3gb
CPU: i5 3470
RAM: 8gb Corsai
PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 550W
SSD: 120gb
HHD: 1TB
MOBO: MSI Z77A-G45

Solution

if its the cpu reaching those temps, first you open the case and make sure the fans are actually spinning

if they are then you get new thermal paste like mx-4 or arctic silver 5

then clean off the cpu + cpu cooler with alcohol and coffee filters, make sure you clean off any dust in between the fins of the cooler before you put it back.

re-install with fresh paste, this video will help you:

They mean how many Frames per second are you getting in-game, and which games, Example is like you play Witcher 3 on Ultra setting at 90FPS etc, etc.

MGS5 at 35 - 50 fps even on low
Rocket League 50 fps
Dying Light 35 - 50 fps

something is wrong

do you monitor temps? sounds like thermal throttling on the cpu or gpu

you should be smashing csgo

you might also need to update your motherboards BIOS, it needs version 7752v23 or better to run a 3470.

90 degrees for cpu OR gpu is too hot

either way you are thermal throttling for sure though causing your fps issues

also it would be a good idea to update the bios to newest version
