What if we take a hollow think Silver-Aluminium sheet, and fill it with lots of ice inside the hollow space and then place our laptop on it?This might be stupid idea but what about temps to be decreased from 80'C.If we do this what's risky?

Both of these items are cheap and will probably require a little tlc and work to get right, but for side vents these are work many many times better then the most expensive laptop cooling pads (excluding water cooling). The actaully extract air from the hot cpu...
if your just placeing the computer on a cold sheet a few thins could happen

1. it could end up cooling your computer probably not vary much though.

2. you could end up getting higher temps if you are blocking the airflow.

neather will hurt your computer but i dont think it would be much of an improvement.

For me,it is improvement, because I played GTA V under no AC conditions.Temps reached upto 80'C.After placing the sheet of Silver-Aluminium with ice cubes (the sheet was already too cold because I kept it in refrigerator) for 30minutes.temps dropped down to 55-60'C
Well mostly people prefer it not to do because of moisture that could harm the laptop but this was just an experiment,so I did.

I have found some very successful cooling methods for laptops, but it depends where your vents are. Do you have a side vent that lets off cpu hot air? is there an intake on the bottom of the laptop?
