So i got a little bored and watched too many youtube videos and decided to hardline watercool my pc.

So set up is roughly 1 gtx 980 Ti gigabyte G1 with a very mild oc in an ek full cover block which im borrowing from a mate, i7 4790k currently at stock, EK supremacy cpu block, 360mm slim magicool rad, 240mm black ice slim rad, 2 phanteks sp 120 hidden in the front and 4 120mm ek vardar fans. Laing DDc pump, 13/10 petg tubing etc etc. Im using the EK TIM which came with the block as it was recommended.

Now this runs hot like stupidly hot while idle and low load temps are fine idles areound 35 but i have 0 headroom to OC as 5 mins into a stress test im hitting 85 degC on the cpu but the gpu seems to remain quite cool.

The order of play is Res> pump> GPU> CPU >large rad >mini res >smaller rad.

Any thoughts?

1| When you speak of hardlining your loop after watching all those youtube videos, were you on soft tubing?
2| Have you made sure your contact point/mounting to your CPU and the block are near perfect? You will need to examine the way the TIM spreads over your CPU IHS. It could also be possible you put too much TIM to begin with.
3| The EK Supremacy block's have a strict code to follow when plumbing your loop, i.e did you take note of the inlet's and outlets? The way the CPU block is designed, you're bound to hit negative returns when the inlet is switched to an outlet.
4| Do the temperature's change when you bump up the fan's rpm's?
