please advise and help where you see fit so i can save costs or where i may need to spend more etc

thanks in advance

The e7400 is a good choice , the ASUS board is quality choice with good features , you can probably save some money and use 800 MHz memory , but the stuff you have chosen will make overclocking even simpler .

Its a good build .

Its not going to run till you have a pci-e gfx card. Unless you are recycling what you have now I'd wait a month and buy it all at the same time . Who knows prices may have dropped a bit in a months time

thanks for advice so far what about if i ditched the case and psu and went with
Antec 300 Gaming Case and Antec Basiq Plus 550W Modular PSU
this works out to 30 more but better psu and case i think advice again?

thanks

and one more thing sorry what are the main differences between the mboard i chose and this
# qfc:
# Asus P5KPL-AM iG31 Socket 775 onboard VGA 8 channel audio mATX Motherboard
apart from the obvious i save 60 and only have 2 ram slots which is no biggy as 4gb mem is enough

thanks
