Hey guys, looking to buy/build a custom gaming PC. I have had a look around for a fair while now and this is what I've come up with so far. My budget is roughly $3k but if you make a case to go over that (has to be a good reason) I can consider it. On the flip side if I can make this cheaper without losing much performance etc also let me know, thanks

I am fairly new at this so bare with me. In bold is what I am %100 sure about, thats what I would like to get. Anything in italics I am open to suggestions but I am %80 sure on those. The rest is up for debate, do I need the wireless dual band PCI adapter? The case I am most likely going to change, any suggestions go ahead and for the cooling I am also open to suggestions, I heard the NZXT X62 is very efficient? Motherboard kinda goes over my head a little, so help would be great.

I play Fortnite currently and have played Counter strike and League of Legends in the past. I do not play games like Dark souls, Witcher 3, Far cry etc so no need to think about getting ultra for games such as these. Thanks for the help

You'd need a bigger/better cooler. Kraken X62 is a very good choice. Changed a couple other things. This particular motherboard has built in Wireless adpater. I'm sure some things can still be debatable.

2 questions. Do you have a case that may be available from this website: https://www.umart.com.au. I am a bit behind when it comes to cases and the difference, they all seem similar to me. I just want one that looks decent and can support some sort of RGB (i.e. window so I can at least see the colours). I couldnt find the case you suggested (although it sounded amazing). Second question. This sits right on my budget and I am fine with that BUT for anyone who reads this, what is the best way to reduce my budget? I assume its in the graphics card? If there is anything that may be a bit over the top let me know. Most games I play are not high end i.e. NOT witcher 3, far cry, dark souls etc. Do I really need the 1080? Would 1070 suit fine? Air cooling vs water cooling costs? Just wondering if there are areas where my money is going to very little increase or unnecessary increase in performance. Thanks

A GTX 1070 would be fine at 1080p resolution. A swapped some parts to save money. I figured you liked the RGB lighting of the motherboard you picked, so I went back to that.

or with the other motherboard that included WiFi adapter and a cheaper cooler. If you had to you could go with a cheaper air cooler, but your overlcocking would be very limited depending on how cheap you go.

Do you also plan to overclock? If not, then a regular 8700 (non K) would fully satisfy you. Same for cooler, if getting a non K CPU, a good air cooler would be enough, something like Cryorig H7, which costs less than twice of some water coolers.
For the GPU, you could get a GTX 1070 Ti. It can be overclocked to 1080's stock. Or if you don't play any demanding games, a 1070 would be plenty as well.
