I am looking to build a pc for $500 or less, I am fine with the bare minimum, I just want to be able to stream and play at least 6 hours at a time with no problems and mid-high settings.
I know my best option is to save up for a better pc but my craptop isn't going to last forever, and I need a replacement soon.
I've never built a pc before so efficient building and upgrading is preferable.
The graphics cards and processors are all another language to me so try not to be too harsh, I know nothing about tech. I play on a 2.4ghz elitebook so anything is an upgrade.
League's recommended streaming is 3ghz so I know I need that at least.
Thanks for any help!

This is a decent computer that will run most anything you want on medium-high settings.
It comes in at $778.95 but this is assuming that you will have to buy Windows for it.
You could also find a lower end graphics card and case if you'd like and that could help bring down the price.
RAM prices also aren't that great right now so that's hurting you as the 2x4 8GB here is $83

This link will break it all down for you.

I did not include a cpu cooler in this rig as the Ryzen 3 1300x comes with a decent OEM cpu fan.

Overall, this is more of a baseline for you if you want to be able to upgrade in the future.
You can try to bring down that price by finding cheaper parts though be wary of "too good to be true" parts

What is the point of an $800 PC when he asked for $500?

@OP:
If you want to stream and game, it will be nearly impossible at that budget. Streaming and Gaming at the same time is a heavily taxing situation. When you mention streaming, you mean live streaming the game on twitch right?

Slightly over. 6 core processor to stream and game at the same time as that is the bare minimum. GTX 1050 will do LoL easily. PSU is quality. For the OS, download the ISO off Microsoft and install it but not activate it to save costs.

Thanks for the reply.
Best setup with the Ryzen 3 1300x for streaming? Everywhere I look I see this. Any chance you can recommend a partspicker for this? Thanks

Wait, you want the Ryzen 3 1300x over the 1600? A 4 core processor over a 6 core?

Well then:

Stepping down to the 1300x gets you a better GPU.

Could I run this exact setup on the 1600/1600x (whichever is better for the price) and get better performance? Only paying a little more for the cpu? I didn't realize it was recommended to stream on a 6 core until recently.
Also wouldn't mind running a 1060 if it's a lot better than the 1005 ti, and could you throw in a basic ssd in there? I'm already above budget so I'm thinking I'll just buy this in parts instead of all in one paycheck.

Take the 1600. On the motherboard here, the 1600x will be wasted as it won't be able to OC.

A 1060 is much better than a 1050Ti at 1080p, so it will not do you bad to pick it up.
