Custom PC powercycles when trying to boot into the bios for the first time

I just finished building my first pc, and I ran into a problem. when I turned on the psu and hit the power button, everything turns on, and then shuts off after a few seconds. this repeats until I shut everything off. Have any idea of what might be the problem?
specs:
intel pentium g3258
evga gtx 750ti
corsair cx430
seagate barracuda 1tb drive
msi h81m-e43 motherboard
rosewill line-m
8gb crucial ballistix sport (single dimm)

One reason (H.2) isn't on it now. This is the BIOS version you need for it to support that CPU

Did you connect the ATX 12v, and the CPU fan to the header?

I have all the wires plugged in, but Havent updated the bios, I'll try and do that

Umm unless that mobo has a feature, that lets you update the BIOS without turning it on you cant update it

Sry, I'm a noob at this kind of stuff. Wouldn't that mean I have to buy a different motherboard

Either that or a CPU that the mobo that you have now supports then flash it. Then put the one you've got now back on the mobo

You could try taking it to a local PC shop and ask someone there if they can flash it with a lower spec CPU. See if it works. If it does then you can install the CPU you've got now
