Is there a way to create customized post speakers? Specifically so I could have a short (1-3 seconds) sound play on post rather than the dreadful "beep"? I know I could simply remove the speaker, but I still want to enjoy auio feedback when my PC posts.
The first problem would be the moerboard supplying power to the custom speaker. Would there be a way to use a separate power source (molex/sata) to power the speak, and use the pins on the motherboard as a signal?
This is obviously miles away from being a necessity, but I thought it would be an interesting custom component.
