Custom PSU Cables

So I recently purchased a Raidmax Vampire RX-800GH Semi-Modular PSU, with the intention buying custom sleeved cables so I didn't have to use the hideous one that come with it. So I went over to Cablemod, and looked, and noticed that the kits were tailored to specific units. I read around and learned that, apparently, not all PSU cables are universal, and this got me a little bit worried, because I would rather not hand sleeve all of my cables, and I really don't want to add extra length to the cables using extensions and deal with the extra cable management (Though I suppose I could). Are there any cable sets that are for sure compatible with the power supply that I picked out, or should I just get extensions for everything and deal with the cable management.

Modular PSUs use only cables for that particular type of PSU. It could be dangerous to try anything else !!! Connectors on cables to PSU are the ones that matter, many PSU manufacturers use same connectors but may be wired differently.
