Custom PSU Extension Cable Sleeving

Hello,

So I am looking to sleeve my own cable extensions for my power supply and have a few questions I'd like to figure out before I order the parts.

Starting with the extensions themselves, I am debating between buying prebuilt extension cables (ie. something like this) and then sleeving them, or buying the individual cables and connectors and then sleeving those (I would buy the pre crimped wires and connectors from here as I have heard great things about the company). There wouldn't be too big of a price difference and I would not mind a difference in labor between the two methods. My question is if there would be a difference between the two in regard to safety/compatibility, anything really. I do not know what all to consider as I have never done something like this before.
Also, would the extensions cables have to be a specific voltage or anything? Or are cables pretty much cables? Ha
Next, upon inspecting my current PSU cables, I noticed that on the 24Pin ATX cable, there are some connector slots that have 2 wires going into them. What/Why is this exactly? Would I have to use two wires for that connector or no? Excuse the poor terminology and stupid questions haha...
Also, there is an empty pin hole on my 24pin ATX power cable. Why is this and would I have to worry about it at all? Would I just put a cable there anyway on my extender if I was to make them?
So I am looking to create extension cables for these cables coming from my PSU:
(my PSU is this btw for reference)
- 1x PCI-E cable with 2 6+2 plugs (Image of Cable)
- 1x 4+4 CPU cable (Image of Cable)
- 1x 20+4 ATX Motherboard cable (Image of Cable)
- 2x Sata power cables, 3 plugs on each (Image of Cable)
- 1x Cable with 3 4-pin molex plugs and one 4-pin "floppy disk plug"(as the newegg listing of my psu calls it) (Image of Cable)
Another question I have is if I would use difference wires for the different types of plugs (like would I use a different wire for the ATX extender compared to the sata or molex entender)? Or could the same wire be used for all the extenders(If i was to buy the pre crimped wires from the link above).

To summarize my questions:
Would there be a difference in performance or compatibility if I was to buy prebuilt wire extensions and sleeve them or build the wire extensions myself?
Do the cables I use have to be of a certain gauge or voltage?
Why are there 2 cables going into some of my 24-pin ATX connector slots? Is this something I would have to consider when buying/making an extender?
Why are there some connector spots that are empty/without a pin?
If I was to make my own extenders, would I have to use different wires for different cables?(ie use a different wire for my 24pin extender and my sata or molex cables?)
Would I be better off buying some extenders that are different such as the molex and sata and then making my own for the 24pin, 8pin, and 14pin motherboard, cpu, and gpu cables?
I'm sorry if this is a lot to try and answer. I just want to make sure I don't overlook anything or make stupid mistakes.

Thanks!!
