Hey. Can someone proof my watercooling loop before I go buy it. It's a large investment, so I'd really like to get it right the first time. If you could please share your thoughts, I'd really appreciate it. It's my first watercooling build, so please cut me some slack :p

Current Specs:
i7 4770k
Corsair H100i
Maximus VI Hero
32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro
GTX 780ti
Corsair Obsidian Series 750d

I plan on cooling the GPU and the CPU. I'd like to have a tube reservoir, and stay under 650$. From the research I have done, I'm pretty sure I should use Alphacool Radiators over XSPC. I plan on putting a 360mm 60mm thick radiator on the top, and a 240mm 80mm thick on the bottom. I'll use SP120's for both of them. The EK Supremacy gets pretty good ratings, and I think the Clean Nickel version will look pretty nice with some Distilled Water and Mayhems Red Pastel. I have not decided on a GPU block for the 780ti, though from what I heard they all pretty much perform the same.

Heres what I have in my cart and plan on getting. I still gotta find a GPU Block and Fittings:

Here is a sketch up I did (Sorry about the crappy drawing :p:

If someone could explain to me the differences between the pumps, like D5 vs. DDC vs. D12. I only know about D5 pumps, and that they are really strong but they're pretty expensive and I was wondering If I could go cheaper. One last question is where I should put the drain port.

Thanks SO much!

P.S. I'm trying to go for a look like this, just with different color dye. The build in this picture has the same res and case as me.

Try out the swiftech pumps they are ddc punps and have good warranties and can be rebuilt cheaply as well

Check out the koolance water blocks they seem to perform very well. Most higher end water blocks perform within 1-2c of each other so either way. I bought mine since it was a steal for 60 bucks new

Also if you really wanted you could use the rad from the h100 to save yourself some money unless you plan on selling it.

You are deff going to want to get a 240mm reservior. I have a 120mm and its so small for my loop it makes it a pain to fill.

Thanks for the response. I'm pretty set in stone with the EK Supremacy, since it's rated practically the top block for the Haswell CPU's, which I have, and they also look amazing with liquid in them. I'll definitely look into Swiftech pumps, would you recommend one that would support my components? What is the pump type one lower than a D5 pump?

Thanks

It depends on the tubing size you want. I would say go 1/2id for that setup but 3/8 works just as well. For 3/8 look at the mcp 355 and for 1/2 the mcp 655. They have some serious power

As far as pumps im not excatly sure. I havent read up in a while

From what i found d5s are very good pumps. The ddcs are very good and are usually a little smaller vs the d5s
