Not 100% sure what you mean?

Typically you'll have a 24pin ATX (motherboard), 4+4pin EPS (CPU), and some variation of 6 or 8pin* PCIe connectors for GPUs. Beyond that, there are SATA power cables etc, that wouldn't typically come in an 'extension' kit, but do in a full replacement kit.

When buying a replacement kit, typically you'll receive more than you'll ever need, and more than your PSU could accept anyway!
The kits are for, in this instance the entire "RM" series, so are sufficient cables to cover up to and including the 1000W units. Something in the 550W range won't have/use say 8x PCIe 8pin cables, but the 1000W variant would.

*8 pins are typically 6+2 in most kits, as they are natively from the PSU.

Various vendors....
You have options, either replacement cables (expensive) or simply extensions.

Replacements are PSU specific, extensions are not.

CableMod replacement cables for RM series:

Extensions.

Just out of curiosity is there a place that I can reference this information to find out what cables are needed or isnitnjust general knowledge that's picked up over time as I have been trying to figure this out and have gone crazy trying to do so
