Moving post from Laptop General Discussion to Home Audio.

Pinouts, wire colors, etc. are likely more familiar to the audiophile type folks who follow that Category.

I have an dead HP Elitebook 840 G5 laptop with the Bang & Olufsen speakers in it. I've sold or repurposed most of the parts from it, including the screen as a third monitor screen.

The speakers have 4 wires, red, black, green and white. I'm assuming thats power, ground and speaker left and right?

My question is about possibly somehow wiring these to a 4-wire aux cord, however both cords I cut open so far have red, blue, green and orange wires, and what seem to be bare wires.
Is this even possible or is there a better way to go about this?

I didn't know where else to post this so hopefully this is the right section.

If these speakers are passive, you can just connect two of the wires cogether, connect them to the most outer ring on the 3.5mm jack, and connect other two wires to the middle ring and top pin. But they will sound awful anyway...
