[SOLVED] Custombuilt PC unable to boot no power to parts

So I have had some issues starting my newly built pc and I will explain the issues i had. I just recently bought a bunch of parts to build a pc and it took me a span of 3 months to get them all. I put half the parts on that were simple when I had them and then the rest of the pc once I got the rest of the parts.

The first time I started it I forgot to put the ram in and I forgot to plug in the 8pin and 4pin connector. The computer started up and had no signal so I checked and realized I missed those few things and plugged them in. Then the next time I tried starting it all I got was a single click from the psu and no power in anything but the mobo shroud lights turn on when the psu is on. Im assuming thats normal but just mentioning because that was the only lit up part. No beeps or lights from the mobo to show what is wrong.

I was wondering if I could get some help finding out which part of my pc is faulty just from describing the issues. I have no real way to test the parts out myself and I figured this would be a good place to start even if someone is just pointing me in the right direction.

My build is:
Cpu - I7 10700k
Gpu - Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super
Mobo - ASUS ROG STRIX Z490E
Ram - 2x16 Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro
Psu - EVGA 850 GQ
Cooler - Corsair H115i Platinum
8TB harddrive and 500gb M.2 SSD

(If I forgot something I can edit it in and if I am in the wrong forum section I apologize for that aswell. This is my first time posting on this forum and I am just a stressed out young adult seeking help after spending about 3 grand on a gaming pc. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps as it is greatly appreciated.)

Solution
"Mobo constantly has power still and has rgb whenever psu is on. "

So there is signs of basic life.

I would still suspect something is not connected or assembled quite properly.
The next issue might be a faulty PSU.
Go through this checklist.
Do everything, not just look and assume.

Alright I will do these after work when I get some time. Thank you for the list :)

Most of the steps i am not able to do because it still just does nothing when I press the power button. The mobo rgb lights are on whenever the power cord is plugged into the back of the psu and nothing else. I also still just hear 1 click from my psu when I press the power button. Nothing else. I will try to see if it is my psu sometime when I get ahold of a multimeter. But for the other first 20 steps or so nothing was working at all.

And that is specifically what that checklist is for.
Go through until something fails, and then fix that.

If it does nothing when you press the power button...
Either something is not connected properly, or something has failed.

I would suspect the former.
Check ALL connections, starting from the wall.

Ok so what if i have rebuilt the entire pc checked the power related cables and still have no power? Also would bringing it to a local computer store to have someone else help figure it out be worth my time and money? I honestly feel like a part is either faulty or got messed up during building.

What happen when you hit the power button? Absolutely nothing?

Is there actually power at the wall?
Is there a I/O switch on the power supply? Is it On?
Is the power button on the case properly connected?
No nothing at all. I am plugged into a power strip with monitors I use on my ps4 and I used 2 different power cords just incase one was faulty. The cords to the power are all the same as when they worked and nothing was ripped out of the case I checked all that. PSU is on and all it does it make a single click sound when I press the pc power button. Mobo constantly has power still and has rgb whenever psu is on. No other parts seem to be doing anything

I early on had a feeling the psu was responsible but I might beable to test with my old one. As long as it works itshould power on right? I obviously will need to get another psu tho if so.
