Hello,

I currently would like to buy my girlfriend her first gaming PC. I have not had mine long enough to know how to build one myself (my friends helped me do it last summer).

Anyways, I'm using eCollegePC.com because I heard they don't overcharge you as much as other sites. I was wondering if this AMD gaming PC could play games like The Sims 3 and most indie Steam games like The Binding of Isaac. I didn't include a monitor or speakers in the list because I plan to use an HDMI cable to hook the PC up to the large TV in my bedroom. I would GREATLY appreciate any help before I do anything stupid. So, see below for the proposed build ($907 on their website):

AMD Gaming Series Configurator:

CPU: AMD A10-7700K Kaveri 3.8GHz Quad-Core CPU Radeon R7 GPU, AMD Copper Heatsink and Fan Included

MOTHERBOARD: GIGABYTE GA-F2A88XM-D3H (AMD A88X, HDMI, DVI, PCI-E, 6xSATA, 4xDDR3)

RAM: 8GB (4GBx2) PC3 12800 DDR3 1600Mhz Memory Lifetime Warranty

HARD DRIVE: 1TB 7200RPM 32MB Cache SATA3 6Gbps Western Digital Blue

GRAPHICS CARD: 2GB ATI Radeon R7 260X GDDR5 PCI-E DVI/HDMI (Major Brand)

OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit (Includes DVD + COA)

CASE: Apevia Black/Blue X-Dreamer 4 (4 5.25, 5 3.5) 5 Fans, Audio/USB 3.0

POWER SUPPLY: 600watt Corsair CX600 V2 80 PLUS CERTIFIED

NETWORKING: Onboard 1Gbit LAN included... And ASUS USB-N10 Wireless B/G/N USB Adapter 150Mbps

SOUND: Onboard HD 7.1 Sound included

CARD READER (what is this? It says it's $9): Internal All in 1 Card Reader

FANS: 2x 120mm Case Fans

PLEASE help me decide if this is sufficient for my girlfriend's Sim's and indie game habits! :] I really want to get this for her birthday. How much would I be overpaying? THANK YOU ver much in advance!!!

Get a FX 6300 instead, not a an A10.

A10s are used only if you don't want to buy a graphics card, and you're just looking for better-than-average integrated graphics.

Otherwise, it's all good.

For the Card Reader, it's for cards like SD & micro SD cards and all

In the website's CPU dropdown menu, they only have A## options, nothing FX... What do? Also I have a decent graphics card, don't I?

Well there's a 300 fee upfront. That's part of the 900 dollars I listed. Thanks for the feedback. Is this a decent build for 900 dollars?
