cut my modmic cable

Hello
Earlier today I accidentally cut my modmic cable while trying cut something else and its really frustating. I tried soldering the copper wire together then I tested it and it didn't work. Inside the wire there are strands of copper wire and a strand of white string.
Can anyone help me ?

where was the cord cut? down near the plug? it may be easier and more reliable, if you feel you skills are good, to replace the entire section. Desolder and replace from the volume control down/mute control.

No it was closer to the middle and I don't have the mute version

actually it doesnt matter i fixed it by getting rid of one part of the wire and soldering a 3.5mm jack to the endo of the cut wire
