Cutting the sleeve off of a power supply cable

Hi. I have a power supply and I want to route the cables around the back of my case to hide them, but I have a problem. The motherboard and CPU power cable has sleeving over it that makes it too thick to close the back cover of the case. Is it okay if I just cut the sleeving off in order to flatten the cables?

As long as you don't cut any insulation from any of the wires so sleeved, then you should not have any problems.

use the round tip scissors this way the tip wont go to the cable and will only cut the sleeve.
