Hi guys need ur help i was gaming a bit then the PC turned itself off and i saw smoke out of PSU(FOR SURE), i thought the PSU died,

But after a while i took the Tower dissassembled it and found out that the PSU didn't give out a Funky smell but the female connector where we connect the wire to the PSU smelled funny i replaced the wire and the PC booted up :), i just wanted ur reviews on this, is it safe to use the PSU or should i send it for RMA before using it?

The CX SERIES ARE POOR QUALITY UNITS made , should be replaced before it takes out other components.

Step up to a decent 500 to 550 WATT POWER SUPPLY.

Will sure do in a shortwhile mate!!!! :D

i guess so.... 80% efficiency is 344

GPU takes 150 Max (R9 270)
CPU takes 65 Max(Q8200)
rest can take 60 max(HDD and Mobo and CPU fan only, nothing else)

Coming back can i run it atleast temporarily?

Hi SR :)

Just a quick question, I am aware that the CX series uses poor quality parts but the PSU (Corsair CX 750M) has been performing with no problems so far except the fact that the switch button on the PSU broke and is stuck on "On" mode. Even though its working fine should I replace the PSU and get the HX series instead? So it doesn't destroy my components?
