CX vs TX psu corsair

which one is better???
will the TX last longer than the CX??

If you are planning to do some overclocking and if you are using a moderately high end GPU its advisable to go for a TX.
A CX can do the job too, corsair makes great quality PSUs

The TX is generally substantially better. The Corsair PSU go, from best to worst: AX - HX - TX - GS - CX - VS.
The CX series has capacitors of somewhat questionable quality, so the longevity of the PSUs may not be great, especially under heavy load and/or in hot conditions (poor case airflow and/or high ambient temperatures).

Owner of both here.
TX650 V2 can get my overclock stable to 300MHz higher on CPU than the CX600.
That should be a good indicator of the stability difference at least.

I'd try to avoid the CX series. Cheap caps fail early and cause high ripple.

Some of Corsair's PSUs are great - but none of them are actually Corsair's. SeaSonic, Delta, FlexTronics, and recently Super Flower are the manufacturers that are doing well.

There are a ton of different TX versions going around at the moment.

Anyway, Corsair uses Channel Well (CWT) for a lot of their PSUs. CX, GS, even some HX models AFAIK.

There's also the new Corsair RM Series 80 PLUS GOLD full modular PSUs that use Chicony Power Technology as the OEM. It is slotted between the TX Series and HX Series.

Sorry, I should have phrased that better. What I meant was that you want a PSU built by SeaSonic, Delta, FlexTronics, or Super Flower.

Most of Corsair's are CWT, with some Seasonics and Flextronics in the higher-end ones.
