Will a green CX 500 be good enough for
RX 480 4GB
i5 4460
8GB RAM
Asus h81m -e mobo
I have 2 HDD
1 SSD and 1 ODD

My old one seems to be dead. I can't tell but at some point it would just crash and then have a very loud fan noise for few seconds. The problem is it could also be GPU fan.
I tried reinstalling Windows already and no luck too. It was fine powering igpu and previously owned GTX 760.

While I love Seasonic I would not buy that model, its an older design and missing some features that newer design PSUs have relating to sleep states with Haswell and newer processors.

The CX450M or CX550M are your best choice in this price range.

I would never buy a used PSU.
Theres 2 answers to this question.

1. Yes 500w is more than enough
2. The CX 500 however is known for falling on its face when pushed. It might work fine, it might fail on you. The good news is its not a fire hazard power supply, so it will likely just crash the computer.

If you have the budget, replace it, even the new CX450M is significantly improved but still value priced.

I see a S12II 430 B for almost 20-30 more. Is it worth it? I am really really on budget but if 30 is worth more
CAD btw. The NCIX I can pick up so no shipping. I heard it was good. The seasonic was on Newegg btw but not sure if 430 w will cut it

Also, would it be fine to go with used product? Is it something I should always go new?

Is there a major difference between CX 450M/CX550M which are both gray label and CX600M (found a friend of mine can sell it to me) and my CX500.

and the cx600m green label?

Garbage

Only the gray label PSUs are the new model.
