Hello everyone!

I wanted to ask you what you would say in your opinion would be the best PSU for my build. Now I already went ahead and purchased the CX600 because it was relatively cheap where I bought it from, but I am willing to send it back.

My build:

HAF 922 Case
MSI Z87-G43 Motherboard
Intel Core i5-4670k
Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3GB w/ OC
G.Skill Ripjaws X 8GB
SanDisk Extreme SATA 6Gb/s SSD
WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM
Corsair CX600
Samsung DVD Player

I plan to upgrade this build in the future, adding extra HDDs and whatnot. Would I be better served with a TX650 over a CX600 or should I look at something with even more wattage? Thanks!

Solution

I would still go with the Corsair TX650 V2! Was in my link earlier Version 2 is made by Seasonic the other one is made by CWT or Channel Well http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page447.htm Corsair does not make their own PSU's!
the wattage is fine, however, in terms of quality, the TX650 is much better then the CX600. The corsair CX series is a budget line they made to capitalize on the reputation they have earned from the TX,HX,AX series.

Personally, I always like to have more wattage. If you could get the TX650, its a double win, more wattage + better quality psu = increased reliability and upgradability.

How much of an upgrade can I do with the TX650 compared to a CX600 down the line?

That one is a tad too expensive for me. Its just between the two I have posted several minutes ago since they are in my budget.

Very good buy right here for the price of 99$:

Depending on where you bought your CX600 you will likely have to pay a restocking fee and shipping to return it(depending on retailer), so it may not be worth it to return the power supply.

I bought the PSU from Newegg and I haven't even opened the shipping box it came in. Merely gathering parts for the build right now.

this:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139020 is the old version of this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139005
The released a new version that is compatible with the new haswell cpu's.Other then that, they are identical.

The newer one has a larger discount, so why not get that?
