[SOLVED] CX650m not powering up

So I had An old D500exp PSU
I upgraded my graphics card from a 1070 to an 2080 super. Turns out 2080 super needs at least 650 watts. I Bought a CX650m and connected everything but the power supply wont turn on. Also i just tried connecting it to the board with the 24pin only and it still wont turn on anyone have suggestions??

have you tried working with a higher quality PSU?

Disconnect the psu from everything and try the paperclip test.

Disconnect the psu from everything and try the paperclip test.

The x650m only has black wires it doesnt come color coded

Then go by pin location not color.

So I managed to connect the wires in the same area as to where i belive the green and black should be.. the fan spins but it dowsnt spin for long

The 24-pin atx power connector is a standard pinout.
