[SOLVED] CX750M corsair PSU making very loud fan sounds, emitting strange smell.

My power supply started giving off a strange smell recently. it smells a little like the paint isle at a home depot. The PSU fan is also being a lot louder than it usually is. Other than this though its working just fine. None of my other components are malfunctioning and I can play taxing games on my rig with no issues. I want to find out what this is ASAP because the smell concerns me a great deal.

EDIT: strange update, the fan stops being nearly as loud upon turning the tower onto its side, still waiting to see if the smell stops, still very confused.

Might just be a burned out fan bearing....; I'd start scoping out a replacement..

Replace the PSU ASAP.

The fan noise hasn't come back but the smell still lingers, the PSU is also around 4+ years old at this point so i think getting a new one might be the safer idea
