Hello,

Please let me know if you have any comments on this build. I have spent hours and hours learning and reading forums, but there are just SO MANY choices to figure out. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

This is my first try at configuring a full-up system like this. (OK, maybe using CyberPower isn't technically me building it?) I was shooting for a decent performance box--not bargain basement, but not top of the line..trying to find the value sweet spot. I was hoping to stay in the $700-$800 range, but as you can see I missed that by a bit. Any thoughts? This is not really a gaming rig--it's for general purpose home use; will run the occasional game, but not hard core. Also, am I messing up big time by using a builder like CyberPower instead of biting the bullet and doing it myself?

See if this works: http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saved/1EURAP

$896 - 5% at checkout +$75 shipping - $50 VISA prepaid included = $876.20

I believe everything is about the same, except I couldn't find a match for the mouse and keyboard, so just picked similar items. Thanks for looking, and please do let me know if there's something I'm missing.

Also, looks like I crossed with your post when I edited my previous - thoughts on the comparison between the two cases would be appreciated as well. Thanks!

Never done it before, but willing to learn. Just so far not sure about bang for the buck is really there at the momet. ;)

Do this if you actually want to be able to game on this computer.

I plan to add the data drive later But it was apples-for-apples with what I built in pcpartspicker.com--I didn't add the HDD there either, and both had the 7750. I'm not a big gamer...planning to wait and see if I need to upgrade the GPU.

Wow, sorry if somehow I offended you. I really appreciate your willingness to help. To be fair, I said from the first post that this wasn't really for much gaming. If that changes in the future, I can add the good GPU, and then I'm all set. No?

Seriously, don't take it personally that I'm not a gamer. Just try to be objective and tell me what I'm missing...because, from what I can tell, I definitely have the same parts in both my CyberPower build and the pcpartspickerbuild, and the CyberPower build is cheaper. :??:

No, I think the problem is, you guys don't seem to be listening that this is NOT a gaming rig. But just for grins, I can add the HD 7870 to both builds.

Now, CyberPowerPC: $969 to my door.

pcpartpicker clone build: $1140.95

Guys, it makes the difference even more....

I did say $700-$800, but later decided I was willing to stretch it to $800-$900 to kepp the benefits of the better CPU and the Z77 chipset in case I want to overclock later on.

Thanks for the offer - feel free to show me what you can come up with. I really am interested in the best value (although surely there is some value in them assembling it for me, which will save me a lot of extra time coming up to speed on doing it myself, not to mention their risk in the process instead of mine and their warranty), but so far any build I made elsewhere I could match with equivalent parts at CyberPower and come out ahead....

Included a 1tb storage drive which you NEED.
Better GPU by alot. Still cheaper by a decent amount, and a better computer. You will notice no difference between the i5 3570k and the 3470.

Thanks, will check it out a little more closely in a bit (gotta run for a while here). BUT, if I change to a build at CyberPower that uses H77 instead of Z77 and 3470 instead of 3570k and drop the Hyper 212, it would get a lot cheaper too (maybe I should? But I thought Z77 and 3570k seemed worth it for the long run....) Also, your build is missing the $25 wifi/bt card, and I think it's missing a power supply (?)

Thanks iceclock, but you don't seem to want to help with what I'm asking. I added the good card you wanted...CyberPower was still cheaper. Even more cheaper. This was not meant to insult you, it's just what I found.

im just trying to keep u from buying from cyberpower. ive heard of people and know people that have had quality issues withthem.
