Hey everyone, I am looking to order a new PC today for cybermonday. I am an avid gamer looking for 60+fps in everyone game I play. Can anyone assist me with the best bang for my buck on this PC? I do plan on Overclocking the 980. My budget is around 1500.

Pretty good PC.

Good PSU, decent motherboard for overclocking, good GPU for gaming, enough RAM for gaming.

There's obviously a premium on it being pre-built, but the components themselves are all perfectly fine for an enthusiast gaming rig.

Look again. PSU is a G1, the G1s were not good, it's the G2s that are good units.

What are your thoughts on the 980 vs the 980 ti vs the 390x for 1080p gaming? Obviously the 390 has the 8 gigs of VRam which helps *future proof* the card, but at the same time the 980 can OC like none other. I do not plan on going above 1080p anytime soon so my best would be the 980. Does this sound right?

The G1's aren't as good as the G2's, true, but they are still perfectly decent units.

As far as graphics cards are concerned, any of those cards will max out ultra settings at 1080p. The GTX 980ti will have the longest lifespan between the three, but the 980 is an extrememly strong choice for 1080p gaming.

Psu is not good, with evga you want the B2, G2, GS, GQ or P series units.

It's a pre-built, so the option for the G2 might not be available. While the G1 isn't the best in the world it is still plenty for that rig.

Have you seen any particularly bad reviews of the G1? I personally haven't, but if you have I'd love to read up on them to adjust any further recommendations.

Unfortunately, the G2 is not an option on cyberpower. I can go with the (750W - TT 80 plus gold) for an extra 42 or drop to a 600w Corsair CX 600m CX 80 plus bronze for an extra 20. At the moment i only need 450W for my rig, but it never hurts to have headroom for future parts and OC

Mediocre at best. FSP used some cheaper capxon capacitors which will severely hurt the units longevity, and the units have some voltage stability and ripple issues. Which is enough to land the unit in the do not recommend category. The original G1s used all japanenese nippon chem capacitors, the g1s that are currently shipping use the much lower quality capxon caps, these are the same caps that have been failing left and right in the low quality Corsair CX units.
