hey all,
I just got a cyberpower lx1500gu UPS for my home PC. My power around here is shaky at best so wanted something with voltage regulation and backup power to keeps things going when the power goes off for 5-20 seconds at a time (usually during storms/really windy conditions)

It seems to be working (haven't had a power outage yet), but i have run into an issue.
As i said my power isn't the best, and when you run the microwave, the UPS kicks in, This is expected and it runs fine on battery,(not sure if it's causing undervoltage or overvoltage but anyway), BUT, when the microwave shuts back off, and the UPS, i'm guessing, switches back to line power, after 5-20 seconds the PC seems to shut down. (might be hibernating/sleeping because when i hit the power button, the computer comes back to right where it was before it
"shut off" even in the middle of a flash game (object find type thing), game is still going right where it was. but i know it's shutting down ish, because the led lighting on the front fan goes off .
any ideas whats going on? i'm sure it's simple, this is my first time using a UPS and so im lost lol
thanks

figured it out, just had to connect to a USB 2.0 port instead of the 3.0 port and thing work fine.
digging in to the documents for the UPS, it appears that if the UPS loses connection to the computer while in battery mode, it will initiate hibernation. i can only speculate that something is funky in the software dealing with USB 3.0, and during the hand off back to line power, but while still in battery mode, the USB 3.0 port is cutting out. so if you have a similar issue, try moving to the older USB 2.0 port :)
