So I had 1500 cyber power ups. It was connected to my pc and monitor as well as cable box and router. When power went out I powered down pc and would have about 3he's of power for cable internet. So I went and bought a next one for !I tv. That one would give !e 40 minutes on my tv. Anyway a couple months after they hardly carry a charge. What would do that. Could a pro longer brown out or power surge do it. If I unplug it the ups from the wall with nothing plugged into the ups it drains in 5 minutes. Also could bring in an area with a lot of power outages also do it.

Solution
An area with a lot of power outages (and deep discharges of the battery) could definitely shorten the lifespan. The batteries should be replaced every 3 years anyway.
