Hey Guys,

I am brand new to the forum and brand new to Gaming PC's as a whole. I am having my first PC built by CyberPowerPC. I would like to know from more experienced members if I got a semi decent deal. I opted for the Intel I9-9900k with the GeForce RTX 2080TI as my CPU/GPU. I ended up paying $2165 shipped. What do you all think on my specs/price? Also if you believe there are components I should add in the future please inform me! Again I am new to this and am excited to learn!

Solution
That is not a good motherboard for the 9900k, you want a higher end board with better power delivery, or go for the 9700k.

Agree you want a known high quality psu. 650w would be enough, a high quality 650w will be better than a low quality 800w.

The 9900k is a hot cpu, I’d go for a cooler like the Corsair 115i. When running a high end system like this cooling and psu quality are very important.

Perhaps a bigger hard drive in addition to the SSD 1tb goes pretty quick these days. All in all not a bad price.

Hey thank you for your help! I ended up canceling my order. I changed my PSU to a 750 Watts - GIGABYTE G750H 80 Plus Gold Semi-Modular w/ Double Ball Bearing Fan Power Supply. And also upgraded my MB to a ASRock Z390 Taichi w/ 802.11ac Wi-Fi, ARGB, USB 3.1, 3 PCIe x16, 2 PCIe x1, 6 SATA3, 3 M.2 SATA/PCIe. Added a better liquid cooling fan as well. With CYBERPOWERPC specials today only cost an extra $112 with 3 day shipping!

$2,000 and a single 1TB SATA II SSD?
Major fail.
LOL. I'm trying to be cost effective as possible. I reordered my configuration. With the new order. I upgraded my MB to a Z390 Taichi, upgraded my PSU to a Gigabyte G750H 80 Plus Gold Semi-Modular w/ Double Ball Bearing Fan. A 360MM liquid cooling fan. And changed my HD configuration to 3TB (3TBx1) SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 64MB Cache 7200RPM HDD and 512GB Intel® 660P SERIES PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD - Seq R/W: Up to 1500/1000 MB/s, Rnd R/W up to 90/220k. Ill upgrade to more SSD memory in the future.
