New Cyberpower PC won't connect to Asus monitor through VGA

I've tried 2 monitors and 2 VGA cables (don't have DVI or HDMI)
The monitor has worked for 6 months with my Mac through an adapter just fine
The monitor recognizes when it is plugged into the Pc with the message "no signal"
when the VGA cable is unplugged from the PC, it says "no cable connected"
I've tried to insert the disk of drivers that came with the pc and it did nothing
I've turned both Pc and monitor off several times.
I've checked the connections and as far as I know, everything is plugged in correctly.
I have a GTX 1060 in the pc but no DVI or HDMI port to connect it...

Please help!!
Thanks in advance.

Solution
The video ports on the motherboard will not function as the Ryzens cpu have no igpu only the APUs have an igpu the enables the motherboards video ports.

To use a VGA monitor with a GTX 1060 you have to use an active adapter either DVI-d, HDMI or Displayport. From you pic I can see your 1060(like most) has all of these ports, plus they are listed in the specs.

What video inputs does your monitor have? If it has a DVI, hdmi or Displayport get one of those cables. If it only has a VGA port then you will need to buy an active adapter which usually cost ~$15-$20.

Thanks for the quick response, but I don't have a Display Port on the GPU or motherboard, as I have a DP cord but no place to plug it in

Awesome, thanks for your response! I just bought a DVI cable to go straight from the graphics card to the monitor. I'm pretty sure from your message that will work..
