The country occasionally known as the Czech Republic has banned DeepSeek over concerns about its large language model (LLM) and eponymous chatbot sharing information with the Chinese government.

this is the same risk for literally any LLM that isnt locally hosted.

This is the world we live in, regardless of whether it's Chinese govt. or any other, your info is already being shared with or without your consent.

Nothing surprising here, Chinese government can force any company even if they are not government owned or subsidised, it’s enshrined in their laws. Remember when Apple simply refused to cooperate with the FBI to decrypt iPhones for them? Well that crap doesn’t fly over there.
