Hi,

My Lenovo IdeaPad S540-15IWL, did have a HHD Drive and a SSD Drive. The HDD, D drive has suddenly disappeared. I haven't accidently deleted or done anything out of the ordinary for it to suddenly be missing, the only action I can think is that I updated the BIOS a month or so a go as I kept getting notified by Lenovo to do so.

I still have some files and games that were stored on the drive but currently can't access them for obvious reasons. I've checked the disk management and can't find the drive there either.

I've checked the BIOS and there is a Hard Disk and NVME SSD listed, so its being recognised in the BIOS. Within the BIOS under 'Storage' its currently set to RST Mode, will changing it to AHCI mode resolve this issue?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

I've opened up the laptop and re-seated the HHD cable but still having the same issue. Maybe I'll try booting in CSM/Legacy mode to see if that resolves the issue.
