[SOLVED] D: drive says CD Drive not DVD Drive. It did this a little while ago. Is there a quick fix ?

A little while ago I noticed my D: drive says CD Drive not DVD Drive like it did earlier. And it won't display disc titles when disk is recognized.

Thank you very much. It does in fact still read my dvds, however I find it annoying it doesn't display DVD disc titles anymore. Thank you again!

For sure. To be honest, if it did before, it should be able to still. I probably wouldn't stop looking for answers as there is likely a solution if you look hard enough.

What application is it not showing the disc titles IN? What player are you using? Is the problem in Windows file explorer or in your media player application?

It was file Explorer. I ran windows update 1903 and its back to normal. Probably just a freaky thing. Thank you again!!! I guess we can consider this problem solved!!!👍👍
