I have a D-Link DNS-323 2 bay NAS storage device
Connected by ethernet to my home hub, I use it for backups.

It maps the 2 x 1 TB drives as volume Y & Z this was achieved using the 'easy connect utility'

Went to add backups last week and both Y&Z did not show in my computer
I rerun the Easy Connect Utility .... it detects drive, and gives me the 2 volumes - but when I select a volume and try to Map it I get the error "Failed to Map "

Anybody any suggestions ? .....
I can see the NAS IP address, Netmask and gateway
DCP is enabled
I can see the 2 volumes

Is there something I need to add to allow connections in W10 ?

The DSN323 is an old unit. It may only support the older SMB protocols that were disabled by default...

The DSN323 is an old unit. It may only support the older SMB protocols that were disabled by default in newer Windows OS. You could try enabling SMBv1 -- https://zappiti.uservoice.com/knowl...--network-smb1-sharing-protocol-on-windows-10

Solution
I do think I may have to think of another backup unit - that will take my 2 HDD
Just transferring a backup now ... and it's pretty slow.
The Max transfer rate to the D-Link DNS323 is only 16.6 MB/s
