Instead of trying to use the installer. Use a program like
7-Zip to unpack the installer to a folder. Then all the files including the driver itself should be accessible.
Go into Control Panel and open Device Manager. Look for the card you are trying to install a driver for. It may be under Network adapters or Other (if no driver is installed).
- Right click the device and choose "Update driver".
- Select "Browse my computer for driver".
- Under "Search for drivers in this location" click "Browse" and select the folder you created when unpacking the installer.
