Is there a promiscuous driver for the D-link DWL-520 ?

Essentially, I'm looking to capture packets with my DWL-520+ card from my supposedly secure wap. I'm in the middle of somewhat of a self-taught wireless security course (because I can't afford the real thing right now!!), and I happen to have hardware at home - it's not the greatest, but hopefully I'll be able to gather the concepts I'm looking for.
I understand TI didn't really support the chipset on this card all that much, so I'm guessing it might be difficult to find this sort of driver for it?
Also, if I get the "attack" end set up, anyone have advice on where to go next as far as learning to secure my network? I see sooo much software out there, and so many forums/websites/etc. describing security procedures and such, I don't know where to begin!

First of all, the DWL-520 and the DWL520+ are not the same thing. Therefore the drivers would not be the same. Secondly, you also need to know the revision of your 520+. The Rev. # can be found on the card.
