Question D-Sub / HDMI Resolution Question.

So I bought this monitor https://www.lg.com/ph/monitors/lg-20M39H-B. I used it using HDMI but my resolution is limited to 1366x768 only but according to the website, it support 1600x900 (in D-Sub). Can anyone explain what this is? Because I really want to used this in 900p resolution. Should I use VGA in order to get 900p?

It's a 1366×768 monitor, you can't get any resolution higher than that. VGA may allow you to send a higher resolution signal because it's an old standard and may not be capable of seeing the specs of the monitor, but even if you select a higher resolution the monitor will just downscale it to 1366×768 anyway.

LG's online specs are incorrect. Under general specs, it states the resolution is 1366x768. Then, under resolution it states 1600x900. As you found out, this 1600x900 spec is just plain old wrong.
