thank you for your suggestion.I had upgrade to pentium d 2.8 but it always hot after an hour after playing movie.Are you have any suggestion about this?
OMG, I also have that old Intel D101GGC board but the board I'm using is revision D35788-305.
I put in a Pentium D 945 CPU which has a TDP rating of 95w and using an Intel copper core cooler (forgot the PN for it). Only board revision D35788-308 & greater of the D101GGC board with latest BIOS can safely handle all the higher Pentium Ds including 945 & 950 as noted on Intel's web site: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005728/boards-and-kits/desktop-boards.html
ALSO use a high quality PSU like Seasonic, Corsair or even Antec. I've used the Antec Basiq BP500U power supply (it's a 500 watt) with the Intel Pentium D 945 CPU on the Intel D101GGC board and it's been running smoothly.
