Picked this scanner up as ex-demo, no PSU... is this scanner worth spending the money to get a new PSU or should I return it & get a better one ???
(btw cost me £30 for the scanner & look 2 be another £29max for the PSU... ttl worth £60)

and yes my PC has USB2 & a spare USB cable...

Hmmm, wonder if I can get a valid page fault ???
these invalid ones are far too commonplace...

The D1250U2 has received a positive <A HREF="http://www4.tomshardware.com/consumer/20020327/scanner-12.html" target="_new">review by THG</A> a while ago. And it seems to be a good deal for you if the scanner works as good as a new one.

Me again... only just now getting a use for this junkpile, it powers up/lights up, Win Xp detects & installs it fine... got latest SW from Canon website but when I try a preview or full scan of a playing card of allthings (starting small with a test) now amazingly get after a few minutes of it sitting doing nothing much i get;

Turn off Scanner & follow instructions in manual
Scanner Driver will be closed (Code:11)

WTF ??? the knowledgebase says calibrate it... what with ??? I have no manual or CD for this scanner... the scangear toolbox 3.1 app I download doesnt give an option to calibrate...

Trust me I know what I'm doing... ooops, grab the cat...
