[SOLVED] d3d11.dll caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005) in module d3d11.dll when playing Genshin Impact

Hello, I have been struggling with this issue for some time now:

When playing the game after a few minutes or hours the screen will eventualy freeze, while the audio continues to play in the background. Upon investigating the crash log it says: d3d11.dll caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005) in module d3d11.dll at 0033:2e6f98a0. I have uninstalled my NVIDIA drivers with DDU and installed the latest version, as well as versions from 2020, 2019, 2018... but it made no difference. I have checked dxdiag (Paste.ee - DxDiag ) and my directx is up to date. I have also installed the latest version of VC_redist and NET Framework. CrystalDiskInfo shows no health problems. GpuMemTest also shows no errors with my GPU. Memtest86 passed my RAM sticks. sfc /scannow also detects no errors.
I have tried the usual suspects for Genshin online (windows 8 compatibility, fullscreen optimizations, verifying game files, uninstalling/reinstalling, changing game resolution, etc.)

The minimum requirements for the game are: CPU: Intel Core i5. Storage: 30GB. GPU: Nvidia GeForce 1030. RAM: 8GB. Direct X: Version 11.
Here are my specs: Asrock A320M Pro4 R2.0 Performance Results - UserBenchmark . I feel I should be able to run the game without problems.

Maybe you could try this:

• Disconnect from internet
• Uninstall the driver using DDU again
• Uninstall all the processors on device manager (should be 12 on yours) like this:

• Restart the pc to bios, and update to the latest bios(download, extract the files and copy it to flashdrive, plug it on top rear usb slot)
• boot up to windows and install the latest AMD Chipset driver, reboot, and go to power plan and choose amd ryzen balanced power plan.
• Install the latest nvidia driver.
• And check windows update (and optional updates) if there is any.

*do this all offline until reboot after installing amd chipset driver, also you may reboot to bios after all of this to set the XMP, make sure your ram is on slot 2 and 4. Download needed files first, and do the steps by order.

Hello, thank you for the reply, I followed the steps but unfortunately the game still crashes. Do you have any other ideas as to what could cause this?

You're on windows 10 right? could you give a gpuz screenshot of your gpu?

This should be enough, so i wanted you to do the steps again, but now after uninstalling gpu driver using DDU, use nvflash to flash the bios into your gpu, here is the bios file: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/230547/230547.rom

did you scan for malwares and virus in system also check if you could have the game verify files option if not try to reinstall the game .

Yes, I have done those multiple times, but they didn't work.

the only way is to test the system with another gpu and use that gpu on another pc, to verify if its a hardware problem, if another gpu still crash the game, then it could be the hard drive whos the culprit.

then try to test all your drive with there maker software in case of bad sector for the dx files on them .
