d3dx9_42.dll missing, have d3dx9_43.dll

I have recently obtained a new laptop and reinstalled a game I had on my previous one. It comes up with "D3dx9_42.dll is missing from your computer". I checked my Directx files...I have D3dx9_43.dll so...what do I do?

When the game was installing did it ask to install directx? reinstall the game and install all the extra stuff it wants to install.

You can try manually installing DX as well: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/179113
