Question D6 motherboard error

Hello all,

My motherboard is stating that I have a D6 error and my monitor is not detecting a signal, however, the GPU appears to be powered on as the fans are spinning. It's an old gtx 580 so I'm thinking about just upgrading to a used RX 580. I've had this GPU since 2012 so it's gotten good use.

If it is in fact a faulty GPU and I correctly install the new GPU, will it automatically download the necessary drivers? Since my old GPU is not being detected I don't have a way to download the drivers of the new GPU in advance.

I'm an idiot and think I deleted the drivers to the onboard graphics because I tried running a different HDMI cable to the motherboard and there was still no signal.

Thank you for your help.
