Hi there, complete noob question incoming,
I have a dream about sitting in my chair and being able to listen to my vinyl records, but also be able to listen to audio from my phone through my Sennheiser HD 560s's.
Now, my problem is that I have no clue how audio works, and have a really hard time figuring out the terminology for different things.
I know that I need a preamp to be able to listen to turntable audio through my headphones.
But I though it would be smart if that preamp was also able to take a digital output from my phone, without having to convert it to analog first, and play it though my heaphones (I think this is called a DAC?) so I don't have to use the horrible built-in headphone amp in my phone.
My budget is around 130$? (don't laugh i'm a student). Does a device that can act as both a preamp for my record player and a DAC for my phone exist? And if one such device exists, what's it called?
