Question DAC white noise issue

My IEMs pick up a constant white noise while my DAC is powered up even if i have no audio input plugged in. Ive tried a few differnt ways of powering it thinking that would help but no luck. Anyone got any better ideas or is this thing just junk. Its a Fosi Audio Q4. Should also mention is get no white noise when just listening on my phone.

This is probably way off and wrong. However, grasping, whenever digital audio hardware has a particular sampling depth/rate, and it is fed data with a different depth/rate, it sounds really bad. Like noise. Perhaps silence, when played at the wrong bit depth/rate, becomes noise. Other than that I think it would have to be a hardware issue, e.g., a cable with a bad ground.

Yeah, it makes the noise with no audio input even plugged in so im leaning more twards hardware. Just tried a different cable for power but still same noise. Also get same noise using power from USB on pc or from the wall.

Any of your audio cables running parallel with power cables?

nah i have an optical cable and its only like plugged in like 8 inches from my DAC, either way it makes the noise without any audio input even plugged in. Ive had the power cable ran from multiple different sources and non seem to do anything different, im assuming its internal but jsut dont know much about audio equipment.
