I've been trying to get Daggerfall running on win xp today.
I've actually got it working (sort of) using vdm sound. Speed is good, sound
is good. But - major problem - nothing happens when I use the right mouse
button
for combat. I tried reconfiguring the combat key but that didn't work either.
I'm wondering if this might be happening because I have a scrolling mouse? Do
I need to find an old-fashioned plain vanilla two-button mouse? If anyone else
had this problem and resolved it, please let me know.
Also, although I got it working with VDM sound, I would have preferred dosbox.
But I kept getting a "cannot find cd" message when I tried to start from
dosbox. I tried changing the cd path in the zconfig file but that didn't seem
to help.
Any help would be appreciated. I've got my compatibility option set for win 95
and all of the memory options set for auto.
