I am wondering how many monitors can the DisplayPort daisy chained from one display port output from graphics card?
Say I have 4070, with 3 display ports and 1 HDMI. If I dasiy chain another monitor on each of the 3 display ports, does that mean, I can connect to 1 monitor to HDMI port, and at least 2 x 3 monitors to the Display port, so total is 7 monitors to one graphics card?

Or this is limited by GPU/PSU etc?

GeForce graphics cards are artificially limited to a maximum of 4 independent displays by the NVIDIA driver, regardless of configuration. Quadro graphics cards can support more. If you have a Quadro graphics cards, you can attach as many as you like as long as the total data rate of all the monitors in each chain does not exceed the maximum data rate of the port.

You can calculate the data rate for a each display here: https://linustechtips.com/topic/729...-adapters-v2/?section=calc&H=1920&V=1080&F=60

Maximum data rates are listed on the left side.

Thanks.

Would AMD's GPU has such limitation, if I get a RX 7700 or 7800?

I have a RTX 3090 with 4 displays and would like to connect a 5th. I have a DisplayPort on the motherboard (Asus X570 Pro). Can I use that to run my 5th monitor or is there another solution?
As mentioned Daisy-chaining the displays together does not work past the 4th monitor.

I looked through the bios, but could not enable the iGPU, but the bios was visible on that display, so it's working.
