Damage reduce question

I think i read somewhere that max damage reduction is 50%.
Is that correct ?
If it is, then what if i use stormshield and string of ears that gives 50%
damage reduce and then add gladiators bane that give 15-20 damage reduce,
will i still get the 50% and then the extra from gladiators bane or only
the 50%?

i remember it like the following:
first the normal damage reduce (from your glad bane) is substracted from the
damage, and then the percentage is taken off.
so yes, both work together.

Cool, then gladiators looks like the close to perfect armor for my
berserker barb when he grows old enough
