Question Damage to components from power spike/outage?

Would like to express firstly the absolute hell that is the grey area of PC troubleshooting. Never have been able to get a solid answer even from devoted PC specialists for any sort of troubleshooting regarding component damage.

Today the shop near me had a large explosion type sound. My PC flickered off for a second but was operational within the same second.

Following the incident I am experiencing a +50% drop in performance in average fps.

HWMONITOR is showing normal clocks, voltage and temperatures on all components.

No idea whats going on. What broke and why is this happening?
