Damaged CPU after failed heat sink install

I just built my first computer and after installing windows 10 it was working perfectly. I was playing games on steam and monitoring the temperatures when I noticed that they were a little high (and noisy) for my amd FX 6300 processor. They were running around 58 c. I decided to change my processors fan to a cooler Master hyper 212 evo and after following the instructions and installing it correctly I started to have problems when I booted up my pc. It boots up and shows the windows logo then the screen gets covered in red and white pixel squares covering the entire screen. After trying to repair and reinstall windows, nothing changed. I then reinstalled my stock heatsink processor fan and the pixels still remained after attempting to boot up my pc again? Clearly something is damaged but I can't pinpoint what is wrong with it

That sounds more like a video problem. Have you tried turning off the pc, removing and reseating your gpu into the pci slot? Or are you using onboard graphics? If using a gpu, how did you install the 212 evo, with the air blowing from the front of the case to the rear or turned 90 degrees with the air blowing up or down? Is it possible you have the cooler blowing heated air down onto your gpu? You might try making sure the cooler isn't touching anything, pushing against ram sticks or anything else. Also double check your video cable from the monitor to the graphics port to make sure it didn't pull loose.

I did try removing my GPU and putting it back, and the fan was set in right. It wasn't touching anything like ram. I'll check my cables again.
