Damaged CPU pins affect RAM slots ?

Hi all.

So a few days back i started setting up a low budget PC for music playback/VirtualDJ/Video, for a bar. Everything was going fine up until the first installation, where the computer refused to start entirely. A sendoff to the service and some stilts later, to keep the motherboard from touching the case (nowhere to be found at first) i managed to get it to boot (rookie mistake). But alas, i got the infamous boot loop. After removing and interchanging the RAM slots many times, and rechecking the CPU once, i came to notice 2 things:

1) 2 pins were entirely flipped in the motherboard, one was touching the rest, possibly the other one too, it was hard to notice at such close range (not exactly eagle eyed).

2) The boot loop would stop only if there was one DIMM, and at the slot closest to the CPU.

Are the 2 correlated ? In the shop i took it to a tech guy looked into it, so i'm gonna ask him how many DIMMs he used, since he informed me it was working fine, so expect an update.

What do you guys think ?

SPECS:
CPU: Intel Pentium G2030 (Socket 1155) @3.00GHz
GPU: Integrated Intel HD graphics
M/B: ASRock B75M R2.0
RAM: Kingston KVR13N9S6_2 2GB DDR3 PC3-10600 1333MHZ Value RAM.

This is a picture of the damaged pins. Two, near the socket, on the Southbridge.

I'm no expert, but it does seem a bit undersized to cause such a big problem. Are you sure this is what's causing it ? Looking into ASRock motherboards, i haven't heard the best words. Could it have come like this from the factory ?

A pin that doesn't make contact will most likely cause issues. The only exceptions are ground or voltage pins when several pins provide the same function and missing one on a low power CPU usually won't cause issues.

I doubt the socket was damaged when it left the factory as it's protected by a cover. Did you inspect the socket when you removed the cover?

Alright, update time: I sent it off to the store, informed the people there, maybe it will get warrantied, maybe not, and the RAM slots probably were damaged due to the broken pin (i manages to twist one back into place just before sending it off). Thanks a lot for the information guys, you were a great help :)
