Question Damaged HDD on new, expensive laptop?

I’ve been using it for a couple months now, it’s a HP envy. It has both an SSD and HDD. SSD is fine, but I’ve filled up all the space on it. Problem is the 1TB HDD can’t be used, nothing downloads onto it. If I try download something online it will say ‘Error, installed wrong or damaged hard drive’. I tried running CHKDSK on it, it’s been stuck at 9 percent for a few hours now, is it damaged? What can I do about it?

Contact HP for tech support, you need to replace that HDD.

I can’t access the computer because it’s stuck on 9 percent CHKDSK.

Contact HP for tech support, you need to replace that HDD.

HP don’t seem to have tech support, just forums.

Reboot it then.
On laptop you can turn it off by pressing and holding power button.
